Ears is ShowGen’s personal performer monitor-control module. It is not a full mixing-console replacement.
Connect and monitor
Connect to a supported Behringer X32 or Midas M32 on the same local network, choose your monitor mix, and use the fader surface for monitor-send level, mute, and pan or balance where supported. Use Demo Mode to practice without sending mixer controls.
The compact Ears control opens the same quick monitor surface from supported workspaces. Mini Appearance changes that compact surface’s device-local Transparency and Brightness; it does not change mixer values, connection state, or geometry.
Arrange the view
Use Views to choose how many faders are visible. In Setup, reorder faders, edit Ears-facing names and colors, control meter visibility, and create groups. These actions organize the Ears view; they do not rename or relink the mixer’s sources.
While the shared Flow Mode is on, it displays shared performance connection state. Ears does not own Show order or Pulse transport.
Read the meters and adjust a send
The meter bank shows channel activity; the fader sets the selected monitor-send level. Move the fader you intend to change and use the corresponding mute control. Arrange the visible strips so the channels you need are easy to reach.
The website Ears tour shows independently moving demo meters, two fader changes and mute/unmute. DEMO MODE — local controls only is deliberately visible. It does not demonstrate a live mixer connection or timed mix automation.
Current mixer support is focused on Behringer X32 / Midas M32. Additional mixer families and saved monitor-mix automation are future directions, not requirements for the current release.
