ShowGen · App Store V1
Terms of Use
Plain-language terms for using ShowGen, including Apple-managed subscriptions, your content and support.
Effective Date:
Using ShowGen
These terms describe ShowGen's App Store V1 offering and your use of ShowGen and its online services. By using ShowGen, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions are welcome at contact@showgen.ca.
Apple's App Store terms and any applicable Apple licence terms also apply. These ShowGen terms supplement them; they do not replace Apple's terms or limit rights you have under applicable law.
Free download and annual subscription
ShowGen is a free App Store download. Access uses an Apple-managed, auto-renewable annual subscription. The annual subscription price in Canada is CAD $34.99 per year.
New eligible users receive a one-month introductory free trial. At the end of the trial, the subscription automatically renews at the annual price unless cancelled through Apple. It then renews annually unless cancelled. Eligibility, applicable taxes, regional pricing and the amount to be charged are shown in Apple's purchase confirmation; review that information before subscribing.
Apple handles payment and subscription billing through your Apple Account. ShowGen does not collect or store your credit-card information.
Managing or cancelling your subscription
Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings. Apple advises cancelling a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want it to renew. See Apple's cancellation instructions for your device.
The subscription status and access period shown by Apple apply. Removing the app or asking to delete a ShowGen account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Billing and refund requests are handled through Apple; ShowGen support can help with questions about access in the app.
Your account and responsible use
Keep your account access secure, provide accurate information when needed and use ShowGen lawfully. Do not misuse invitations, access another person's account without permission, bypass access controls or interfere with the service. Tell us if you believe your ShowGen account has been used without your permission.
Your content and shared material
You retain the rights you hold in the content you create or import. Using ShowGen does not transfer ownership of that content to ShowGen. You are responsible for having permission to use and share music, charts, recordings, personal information and other material you add.
By using a storage, synchronization or sharing feature, you authorize the handling and delivery of your content needed to carry out that feature. Invite only intended recipients. Normal Invite/Re-invite establishes or restores Band membership; Band Sync then supplies and synchronizes shared Band Flow data. Band members are peers. Remove Member and Leave Band end the targeted membership's access while preserving shared Band-owned data.
Explicit manual sharing, such as a reviewed Show, PDF or text export, is separate from membership and Band Sync. Review what you send. Independent exported copies may be edited or retained by recipients; a manual transfer does not promise ongoing synchronization or automatic removal of those copies.
Subscription expiry and data retention
Access to subscription features can end when a trial or paid subscription expires. That does not itself mean immediate deletion of your data. Subscription status and data retention are separate.
ShowGen's App Store V1 policy is to retain your data for at least one year after paid access ends, so that you can regain access to existing information if you return. A separate account or data-deletion request is different from allowing a subscription to lapse. Keep your own backups of important content; this policy does not promise recovery of content you have deleted.
Availability, development and support
ShowGen is actively developed and supported. Features and compatibility may change as it develops. Network services, Apple services and connected hardware can affect availability. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device or accessory, or a particular timeline for a fix or requested feature.
Check your setup before relying on it for a performance and keep a suitable backup of important material. Please contact us about bugs, unexpected behavior, usability problems, workflow suggestions, feature requests or questions. ShowGen Support and the public Help pages remain available without an active subscription.
Ending use or deleting an account
You can stop using ShowGen and manage renewal separately through Apple. ShowGen may restrict online access where necessary to address misuse or protect the service. An access restriction is not itself a statement that your content has been deleted.
Explicit account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation or expiry. Use General Settings → ShowGen Account → Delete ShowGen Account and read Account & Data Deletion for confirmation, retry and preservation boundaries. Shared Band-owned data remains available to remaining members. No exact deletion timing or removal of every unrelated local, shared or backup copy is promised by these terms.
