Shared performance

Host, Follow, and Global Settings

Connect performance devices while keeping personal settings under your control.

Host a performance or follow one

ShowGen devices can join a live performance on the same local network. Host Performance is authoritative for the active Show, current Song, transport, and live tempo. Follow Performance mirrors that context from the Host and never becomes Host automatically.

The connection indicator makes connected, reconnecting, and Sync Lost states visible. If a device loses the session, it does not treat an old clock or old transport state as current. Device names help identify the Host and followers; they are display labels, not shared song or show metadata.

Show Mode across modules

The active performance Show is selected in Flow Current Engagements with the Sheets control. Sheets Show Mode uses its ordered chart context, and Pulse uses its ordered live-setlist context. Ears can display the shared performance connection state, while remaining a personal monitor-control module. Every module stays useful on its own when Show Mode is off.

Global and personal choices

Use Global Settings for app-wide choices such as appearance and shared performance preferences. Module-specific settings stay with their module—for example, Sheets Presentation, Pulse output and MIDI settings, and Ears view preferences. Cloud sync keeps private library data available across your own devices; it is not the live-performance connection and does not replace the local network Host/Follow session.
