Workspace Settings

Set startup and workspace preferences, arrange floating widgets, and temporarily hide or restore them.

App-wide settings

Open the gear for ShowGen Settings. Under General, Start Up on Home View chooses whether ShowGen opens on Home or returns to the last workspace. Tap to Hide/Show Widgets lets you tap an inactive page background to temporarily hide the floating widgets currently on screen, then tap again to restore them. It is enabled by default.

Hiding widgets does not close them, stop Pulse playback, or clear their settings. Tapping an interactive control still operates that control; use an inactive background area for the visibility gesture. Turning the setting off restores temporarily hidden widgets.

Arrange floating widgets

Use each widget’s move and resize controls to place it beside your chart or performance controls. Where a lock is offered, lock it after positioning; unlock it to move or resize again. Supported widgets remember position, size, lock and layer order. Closing and reopening a tool is different from temporarily hiding all visible widgets.

Presentation → Widget View in Sheets selects the tool icons you want. It does not replace each widget’s layout controls. Flow Mode Transport is available only while Flow Mode is on; the separate Pulse Metronome also works with Flow Mode off.

Share layout preferences across Bands

Use Same Workspace Settings Across Bands is on by default. It shares supported view, folder and floating-window layout preferences across Bands; it does not merge their Songs, Shows or memberships. Turn it off to use each Band’s own layout memory. Personal / No Active Band also has its own workspace context.

Restore Workspace Defaults resets the current workspace’s presentation preferences. It does not delete Songs, Shows, Charts, Sounds, Bands or hardware configuration.

For chart-specific view choices, see Presentation, Widget View and Chart View.
