Sheets without Flow
Sheets works without Flow or a Band. Charts is your chart library; Setlists arranges those charts for performance. Folders, Setlists and optional Flow links do not create different kinds of chart.
Import charts
In Charts → Import, select multiple PDFs, JPG/PNG/HEIC images, text or ChordPro-compatible files, or choose Import Folder. Review chart previews, metadata and duplicate warnings before completing import. Choose which candidates to keep; Flow Integration is optional. Use + → New Chart to create a text chart. For the verified OnSong backup workflow, export a backup from OnSong to a known location in Files. Choose Sheets → Import Charts, select that backup, and review the results. Other chart apps, including Unreal Book, are not yet verified; this is not a promise of compatibility with every export format.
Find, edit and organize
Use chart search and folders to find your material. Open a chart to read it, Edit Chart to edit source text, or Sketch for annotations.
Tap Info for Chart Details: Title, Artist, Tempo, Key and Notes. Save keeps the edits; Cancel discards them. Key edits the stored Song Key also used by Nashville Numbers and the title display. Key / Transpose applies a separate presentation offset; it does not replace that stored key. Notes are chart metadata, separate from handwritten annotations. Details edits preserve Flow links.
Presentation and Widget View
See view options for Presentation defaults, per-Chart overrides, Chord Display and the current iPhone/iPad/Mac layouts.
Open Presentation from Charts or Setlists to adjust typography, chord display, colors and layout. PDFs support Fit Width and Fit Page. Enable Show Key in Title to display the saved chart key beside the title.
Chart Grammar… lets you add or remove your own non-chord tokens. They remain visible but are excluded from chord recognition and transposition. Avoid adding real chord names unless you deliberately want Sheets to treat them as plain text.
Under Widget View, independently choose Show Pulse Metronome, Show Ears Mini Window where available, and Show Trigger Device. While Flow Mode is on, Show Flow Mode Transport is available too. Their icons open the existing floating tools in normal reading. In Setlist Perform, Flow Mode Transport is available only while Flow Mode owns the performance; otherwise Sheets provides its own Previous, Next, and Setlist controls. Active icons indicate open windows. Floating tools keep their own position, size and appearance controls.
Create and perform a Sheets Setlist
- Open Setlists → New Setlist, enter a name, and choose Add Charts.
- Search or filter by folder. Pending selections remain selected across filters; the count includes all selected charts.
- Add the charts, reorder or remove entries, then save.
- Use the saved row’s Perform, Edit, Rename, or overflow actions for Duplicate and Delete.
Perform opens the full-screen Sheets reader. Swipe right-to-left for the next chart and left-to-right for the previous chart, or use the arrows. NEXT UP names the following chart; the final chart shows END OF SETLIST. Edit Setlist lets you adjust the Setlist during performance. Closing the editor returns to the current performance; Close exits Perform to Setlists.
Sheets Setlists neither require nor create Flow Shows or Songs. Exit Flow Mode before starting a Sheets Setlist. Starting Flow Mode ends an active Sheets Setlist performance so there is only one performance session.
Sheet Tempo and Pulse
With Flow Mode off, save an optional Tempo in Chart Details. Opening that chart, or moving to it in a Sheets Setlist, can set the Pulse Metronome BPM. A chart without Tempo leaves the current BPM unchanged. This does not start or stop the metronome. It also works for a Flow-linked chart when Flow Mode is off.
Live metronome adjustments do not silently change the Sheet’s saved Tempo. When a different BPM can be saved, tap the Mini Metronome’s + and confirm to save it to the current Chart. During Flow Mode, the active Show/Song tempo remains authoritative and this save-to-Chart action is unavailable.
Optional Flow links
Use the existing Flow link controls to link a Chart to an existing Song. Import Flow Integration can also create a Song, and the normal Charts selection actions offer Create Flow Song + Link after import. Review the selected Band or Personal Library destination before confirming. Already-linked Charts are skipped. Multiple Charts can link to one Song, and one Chart can retain multiple explicit links. Removing a link does not delete the Chart.
Flow Mode
Choose a saved Flow Show with Sheets to Follow, then turn on Flow Mode. Sheets follows its ordered entries and resolves linked Main Charts. Tap a linked Show row to open its chart. Tap No Sheets Chart Linked to choose an existing chart for that exact Band Song. The reader’s Link Chart uses the same picker. A successful save updates the chart immediately without changing your current Show occurrence or turning Flow Mode off. A failed save stays visible so you can retry. Previous and Next move through the Show, and Setlist returns to the active list. When the Pulse transport is hidden, Sheets still provides Show navigation.
Flow Mode resolves charts using the Band that owns the active Show. Switching Working Band to a different Band ends the old Flow Mode session across modules and clears its current Song. Reselecting the same Band preserves it. Switching back does not restart the cleared session; select a Show explicitly to begin.
Set Breaks are part of that same ordered live sequence. From the final Song of a Set, Up Next shows Set Break instead of skipping to the next Song. Advance once and Current becomes Set Break while Up Next becomes the first Song of the next Set; advance again to make that Song current. This is the same for automatic derived Set Breaks between non-final Sets and explicit Set Breaks saved in the Show. A Set Break has no Song, artist, BPM, key, chart metadata, or duration.
On a connected ECHOSystem follower, the Host’s current Song is marked with an ECHOSystem-purple title and chevron. Turning Flow Mode off returns to the remembered normal library view.
BopPad Mini configurations
Open Trigger Device/BopPad Mini from the Widget View controls. Its configuration name and current Chart/Song title are shown separately. Tap a pad to trigger it; long-press to open the existing Pad Configuration. Loop pads show a loop icon.
The menu offers Factory Default, named presets, Save Current as Preset, and preset Rename/Delete actions. Save Current as Preset asks for a name and stores a reusable setup. Factory Default cannot be overwritten.
When the live setup differs from the saved context, + offers a confirmed save. With Flow Mode off, it saves to the current Sheets Chart, including during Setlist Perform. Cancel keeps the live edits unsaved. Chart setup labels follow the chart title. ShowGen Backup includes saved presets and Chart setups; hardware choices remain device-local.
Flow Mode uses separate Song-owned Pulse settings. Import from Chart appears in its Mini menu only when a linked Chart has a saved setup. Choose a source when several exist, then confirm Import or Replace. This copies the pad setup into the current Song without copying Sheet metadata. Later edits to either configuration do not change the other; another import is another explicit copy.
On a synchronized ECHOSystem Follower, remotely eligible Host Loop assignments use the existing remote-trigger controls; local configuration editing is unavailable on that remote surface.
